These images below were to explore similarities between the past and the current world we live in, with the main Idea of Oppression. And to include themes of Public Resistance, Socialism, & Corporatism - which is slowly taking over. The piece is actually a revision of an early piece by Pablo Picasso, called Woman with Loaf of bread and the idea of his painting is to show the relationship of the peasant & and the changing modernization of the world.
This has given me a starting point for unit
two, which is to explore the theme of portraits with objects added to develop
meaning. My main contextual source is Gillian Wearing with her use of signs as
a tools for the subject to express them selves. For this work I intent to focus
on self portraiture and different alternative processes.
