Things I didn't really 'not like' anything in this project, the points above are just things I enjoyed making and creating. The Kite Project I am also very happy with, how it has been created and achieved, and the appraisal for the Interviewers who reviewed the Project at the Interview. All of the images incorporate with the UNIT2 are developing different ways of making a self-portrait. The first is incorporating subjects, themes and ideas, The second is multilayered imagery of people and faces, Then the third is life drawing and the photography used to create the Final Grids. Meaning they are all bonded by the fact they're are all portraiture.
- The Process of "Repeated Processing" to achieve the Meat is Murder Mash Up.
- 'Busy Words No3' - the amount of personal expression, which is included in the piece.
- 'Krishna Killed the Caravans' - I enjoyed creating the poem which was the main subject source of the piece, and creating the image as a statement to express an a feeling of horror to an imaginative event of history.
I have selected these as my final images because I think they are the most successful within the confines of my self defined criteria. I think they are successful because of the repeated process I used which gives an interesting layered surface, also the changing colour between positive and the negatives offers a contrast that is complimentary in a set. I enjoyed working with these processes as you can never completely control the final outcome, which keeps the process interesting for me.
I have selected to present them on my blog at present as this offers me a global audience and keeps the cost down. If they were to be exhibited in a gallery then I feel they would best be displayed as large format prints, potentially taking up a full wall.
