The Kite Project was an Entry project to Manchester Metropolitan for a Foundation Year. The named of the project given was 'GRID' and you could chose for a Sub-category of subjects to base the project on. These included; Body, Wardrobe, Mind, Numbers & a few others. I chose Body so it could act with my Life Drawing classes and course that I am currently studying on. So the Idea was to create a Kite out "Grids of Life Drawing". Initially The kite would be made up of the Paper Sketches of Grids of Life Drawing. However I came across a camera called The Polaroid Studio Express which splits a image into 4 separate images, making a grid. So after a lot of trial and error (money & burnt film), I achieved the grids which were Polaroid images of Grids of Grids of Life drawing, which I then scanned into the Macintosh, and set to work constructing them in to suitable Grid layouts for the kite. The ones below are are the "Grid Layouts" ready to be printed on the fabric printer (The printer that continuous kept breaking down).
